STS follows Alberta Programmes of Study K-12, enriched by the IB framework. Students earn Alberta credentials recognised across Canada while developing research, communication, and self-management skills
The International Baccalaureate is a global education programme emphasising inquiry, critical thinking, and international-mindedness. At STS, students experience the full continuum from Kindergarten through Grade 12 alongside Alberta curriculum.
Elementary School (K-Grade 6) students learn in three vibrant communities with flexible spaces encouraging collaboration. Encore programming rotates every six weeks, offering fresh experiences in mixed-grade groups.
Middle School (Grades 7-9) balances structure with growing independence as students explore identity and interests. Advisory groups, SPARK sessions, and MYP framework connect learning to real-world issues and prepare for Senior School.
Senior School (Grades 10-12) combines high academic standards with strong support. Flexible pathways, close relationships with teachers, and thoughtful course planning help students understand who they are as learners.
A flexible way of learning for high school students at STS. STAND combines self-paced courses with personalised support, allowing students to balance academics with other commitments. Small cohorts, dedicated teachers, and innovative design foster independence and success.
