Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School officially opened on a beautiful country campus in Okotoks, Alberta in September 1971. An amalgamation of Strathcona School for Boys and Tweedsmuir: An Academic School for Girls, the new school came about as a result of the generosity of W.H. Atkinson and the Cross Family.

Flourish 2031

Flourish 2031 is our ten-year strategic plan. We built it with input from students, parents, faculty, staff, and alumni who answered one question: what does it mean for students to truly flourish?

The answer became our guide. You should flourish emotionally, with a community where you belong and wellbeing that matters. Physically, through athletics, outdoor education, and real-world experiences across 220 acres. Intellectually, with learning that challenges and engages you.
