Outdoor Education

Outdoor Education is a teaching philosophy woven into everyday learning. Students develop connections to nature, to their studies, to one another, and to themselves. Through excursions and immersive experiences, lessons gain fresh meaning in a lively natural setting.

Design, Technology & Innovation

Design thinking taught as a repeatable practice: investigate, design, plan, create, evaluate. Students develop ethical technology use, strategic thinking, and solutions for community impact through authentic challenges.

Spartan Athletics

Year-round athletics including volleyball, basketball, soccer, rugby, field hockey, cross-country, track and field, golf, badminton, and curling.

Fine & Performing Arts

Purpose-built facilities support music, visual arts, drama, and musical theatre across all grades. Students develop artistic skills through classroom learning, rehearsals, and performances in co-curricular programmes.

Speech, Debate & Model UN

Where students find their voice and learn to use it: classroom speaking, Speech Day tradition, competitive speech and debate teams, and Model UN conferences. Skills in reasoning, persuasion, and respectful discourse that last a lifetime.

Students Choice

Choice shapes the STS experience: selecting IB Diploma or Alberta courses, joining athletic teams, performing in musicals, leading clubs, and participating in co-curriculars. Faculty help students find balance and pursue what matters to them.

Global Citizens

Preparing students for a changing world through service, travel, and personal challenge programmes. Duke of Edinburgh Awards, student-led community initiatives, and international experiences build cultural competence, confidence, and capacity for impact.

Summer camps

Whether it’s exploring our stunning natural campus, scoring the perfect goal, designing a revolutionary new invention, or creating a beautiful work of art, our camps give children and teens ages 4 to 17 the opportunity to create, explore, design, grow, and perform all summer long.
