The Alumni Community Citizenship Award recognizes the quiet but essential work of those who show up for our community, again and again. It honours alumni, alumni parents, and alumni employees of STS and its founding schools whose volunteer contributions have meaningfully strengthened the school, the alumni association, or the broader STS community over time. This award is about sustained service, the kind that doesn’t seek the spotlight but makes an enormous difference.
Chief Revenue Officer, Fuelled
From completing over $15 billion in deals at Barclays to executive roles at Neo Financial and Validere, Mark has built a remarkable career in energy and fintech — yet never lost sight of his roots. As a former STS Alumni Association President and Board member, he continues to invest his time and expertise in mentoring alumni and community leadership.
Former Parent, Retired Corporate and Investment Banker
A dedicated STS volunteer, Mike served as Chair of the School’s Board of Governors and co-chaired the Inspiring Possibilities campaign. He currently chairs the Foundation Board’s Finance, Audit & Investment Committee and will become Foundation Board Chair this year.
Retired Faculty
Joining the STS faculty as an elementary teacher in 1976, Alice embodied the School’s commitment to nothing but our best. Among her lasting contributions is the Kerby Luncheon, a tradition nearing its 50th anniversary. The event shows the School’s youngest students the value of serving their community. Alice continues to share her love of connection and music long after her retirement in 1998.
We invite you to nominate a member of the STS community whose volunteer service or sustained involvement has made a meaningful impact. While often awarded to alumni, former staff, and former parents, all members of the STS community are eligible. This award honours those who strengthen the School, the Alumni Association, or the broader community through their time and commitment. Nominations are reviewed by a selection committee.
