Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you’ll make as a parent, and we don’t take that lightly.

At STS, we’ve built a place where children are not only prepared for what’s next but are also genuinely excited to come to school each day. From Kindergarten to Grade 12, our students are known by name, challenged with purpose, and supported every step of the way.

Navigating your path to STS

We aim to make the application process clear and straightforward, because your energy is better spent getting excited about what comes next, not lost in paperwork.

Start with a visit

Before anything else, be sure to attend an admissions event, such as a Coffee Morning or our Open House. The classrooms, the culture, the people — these tell you more than any webpage can.

Apply early

We encourage families to apply in the Fall, one year before their hoped-for start date. Starting early gives you breathing room: time for financial planning, a smooth transition, and the chance to build real anticipation with your child before their first day.

Admission Deadlines

November 30, 2026
Early decision deadline for Grades 2 to 12. Applying early provides the best opportunity for placement.
January 31, 2027
Application deadline for Kindergarten to Grade 12.
February 1, 2027
Rolling admissions begin. Completed applications are reviewed as space allows. Availability at this stage may be limited; families are encouraged to contact the admissions team for current openings.

Financial Assistance and Scholarship Deadlines

Financial assistance applications are accepted annually between October 1 to February 14 for the next school year.

The STS Entry Scholarship for new Grade 5 to 12 applicants must be submitted with the application package for applications received by January 31.

The Forever Woods Scholarship for new Grade 10 applicants must be submitted with the application package for applications received by March 1.

Application

Begin by submitting the online application form.

Once the application is received, you will receive a personalized checklist sent through our online portal.

Documentation

The following documents are required as part of your application:

Reference form
A confidential reference from a current teacher, guidance counsellor, principal or another school professional who knows your child well. The reference must be sent directly to STS.
Most recent report card
An electronic copy of your child’s most recent report card or progress report, including grades and comments.
Final report cards (previous two years)
Electronic copies of final report cards from the past two academic years.

All documents can be uploaded directly through the online application portal.

Campus Visit

After we receive your application and documentation, our team will contact you to arrange a one-on-one campus visit. During this visit, we will complete a personal interview and grade-level evaluation with the applicant.

This is also an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about STS.

Assessments

Assessment requirements vary by grade level and are scheduled separately from the campus visit, typically in small groups of applicants.

Kindergarten to Grade 6
Assessment activities are completed during the one-on-one campus visit.
Kindergarten and Grade 1 applicants also attend a Group Assessment Day (typically in January) on campus to demonstrate readiness in literacy, numeracy, and social development.
Grades 7 to 12
Applicants take an entrance exam on campus. This provides insight into academic skills based on grade-level expectations.
These assessments are one part of the overall process and, alongside the campus visit, documentation, and references, help us get to know each student as a whole.

Our admissions team will guide you through each step of the process with clarity and care. Each part of the application process, from documentation to interviews and assessments, helps us build a complete picture of your child’s strengths, interests, and readiness for STS.
